Today, visit some of Bucovina’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Explore Sucevita Monastery, built in 1581 with fortress-like walls and vivid frescoes. Continue to Voronet Monastery, often called the Sistine Chapel of the East, founded by Stephen the Great in 1488. End at Moldovita Monastery, renowned for biblical frescoes like the Siege of Constantinople. Pause at Marginea village to see local black pottery workshops before returning to Gura Humorului.
